Kaifa LBS Products – Enabling Real-time Indoor Precision Positioning
Release Time:2020-05-19
As IoT continues to become deeper and broader in its scope of application, the positioning of people and specific objects has increasing more and more attention. Traditional GPS positioning technology is limited by only being applicable outdoors and only providing 2-D positioning functionality. As such, it cannot be used to locate objects indoors and cannot locate an object in how it relates to 3-D floors. Kaifa has combined software and hardware facilities with wireless communication technology to develop a series of LBS (location based services) positioning service products that it hold independent intellectual property rights for. This product series can be quickly integrated and applied in various scenarios and different industries. It provides tools for security assurance, hidden danger elimination, efficiency improvement and risk management. Precise Positioning Seamless Connection Easy Implementation Kaifa LBS products enable precise indoor positioning, as well as seamless indoor and outdoor connectivity. With its simple and flexible deployment and rapid system integration, it can quickly add positioning service function to reduce time to market, allow users to focus on application and integration without worrying about any technical problems and reduce user costs by 50-90%. LBS products can provide personnel monitoring, equipment tracking, location query, patrol management, historical trajectory, area alarm, electronic fence, attendance sensor, activity analysis, location services and other various functions with its real-time collection and analysis of the location information of personnel and objects (such as equipment, assets, etc.). With its provision of SDK (software development kit) and API (application program interface), the product is suitable for application in smart factories, smart construction sites, smart hospitals, smart communities, smart animal husbandry, smart pensions, and other smart industries. Kaifa LBS product positioning service function and application LBS product functions can be divided into five parts; smart terminals, communication modules, function modules, application subsystems, and in-depth cooperation. Amongst these five functions, smart terminals include positioning marks, positioning cards, positioning bracelets, and positioning helmets; communication modules include various communication modules and gateways (covering LoRa, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), Wi-Fi, RFID and NFC); function modules provide positioning services for application system integration, application subsystems include industry application subsystems, and in-depth cooperation includes access to customer system services and customized function development. Product application system framework LBS fuction module Simple Deployment Widespread Application Practical and Reliable Kaifa LBS products have already been applied widely in smart construction sites, smart factories, smart hospitals, and other various scenarios. We have successfully developed a set of customized regional positioning safety management systems that use helmets as terminals and are based on LoRa and BLE technology for use in smart factories. On-site environment: integral cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure, thick walls with small window openings, and a wall thickness of up to 1.5m. The rooms are first and second floors are densely concentrated, with frequent partitions, and the indoor wall-mounted soundproof cotton and steel structures are stacked to block signals. There are various kinds of air pipes, steel pipe building materials, transport conveyor belts and other equipment accumulated in the room and there are no signal dead ends. The overall environment is dim, personnel and equipment change frequently, and circuits and network connections are unable to be provided. Solution: Divided into two stages; early verification deployment and on-site installation and deployment. In the initial verification and deployment stage, a total of ten Bluetooth tags, ten helmets and one gateway were tested in the eastern 2000㎡ area. With the on-site installation of small wireless Bluetooth beacons and helmet terminals, there is no need for additional power supply wiring or a wired network, this verifies the feasibility of communication technology. The environment was inspected on-site, the situation was checked out for each floor, the installation area location and the number of needs was confirmed, and the relevant information of the positioning area was initially integrated. The work area status was confirmed through analysis of personnel positions, and whether personnel were wearing hard hats or not was confirmed by checking hard hat statuses. The smart terminal uploads data, looks out for any abnormal personnel statuses (such as having been hit or being stationary for longer periods of time), and judges attendance and working duration with its clock-in system. On-site installation and deployment state; 100 helmets, three gateways and 50 Bluetooth tags were deployed in an area of about 60,000㎡. By connecting LBS products and other terminal functions to the safety helmets, the entire subsystem can provide LBS functions and security guarantees in addition to position information. Smart construction sites The LBS subsystem can be quickly and cost-effectively integrated into more application scenarios and industries with its SDK and API interface. It strengthens the smart management of personnel, equipment, and asset tracking to reduce potential security risks in the management and control of these key resources. In addition, it also improves personnel management and resource allocation efficiency and promotes smart reform.
