MEC Has Shipped 1.5 Million DDR4 Memories

Release Time:2016-06-28

By the end of June 27, Shenzhen Kaifa Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “MEC”), the subsidiary of Kaifa, has broken through 1.5 million DDR4 memory. A huge number of shipments indicate MEC business steps to new stage.                                                                                                                                                                                        DDR4-SODIMM DDR4 (fourth generation Double Data Rate SDRAM) project tested since March and is imported in April. After a period of preparation, DDR4 has been produced 20 thousand per day. DDR4 will be increasing as rising need in the market. There are more obvious advantages in DDR4: 16bit prefetching mechanism, theoretical speeds are double of DDR3 under the same Kernel frequency; More reliable transmission specification, data reliability further improves; operating voltage decreases to 1.2V that saves energy.                                                                                                                                                                                   DDR4-DIMM Now, MEC has more than 10 SMT lines and testing, VI lines and 4 USB disk assembly lines. Yield of memory is 3.5 million monthly per month, USB drives reach 4 million monthly and flash cards are 2 million. The successful shipment of 1.5 million DDR4 develops new business growth and signifies MEC business further upgrades.
