April 8, 2014. ResMed awarded their First Certified Supplier to Shenzhen Kaifa Technology. ResMed’s Certified Supplier Program aimed to have the best overall outcome with respect to quality, delivery and cost by defining the specific requirements for suppliers who are part of the ResMed product supply chain. It also promote a culture of Continuous Improvement across the ResMed supply chain by providing skills and processes that contribute to the overall competitiveness of ResMed suppliers in their field RCSP work in its four metrics namely Supplier Performance Metric, Quality Management, Risk Management and Value Management. Being a rated Class-A supplier for the past 4 years, Kaifa automatically met the first requirements. A criterion to determine the maturity level from 1 to 5 based on the procedure and implementation was set by ResMed for the other 3 metrics in which a supplier applying for certification should have an average of 4 and no rating below of 3. Being a Certified Supplier, Kaifa will have an enhanced supplier profile within ResMed leading to be the preferred supplier for new businesses and assuring of long term relationship on existing business.
